A Yamaha factory reconditioned UX3 from the late 1970’s. The Yamaha UX model is very similar to the classic U3 model, however the ‘X’ resembles the x-shape frame found on the back of the piano. The advantage of this is that it provides even distribution and more support on the piano frame; this improvement ensures better tuning stability to the piano. The Yamaha UX3 also has longer bass strings than the standard U3 models and more higher grade materials.
It is believed the UX series was sold into the Japanese domestic market and therefore a quite rare to find.
