Outstanding Sounds and Musical Expression

The Yamaha Genos contains an extensive selection of acoustic and electronic instrument sounds, including detailed grand pianos, electric pianos, organs, orchestral instruments, guitars, brass, woodwind, synths and percussion.

Yamaha’s Super Articulation technology adds many of the subtle performance details associated with real instruments. Guitar slides, string bowing, breath sounds and other natural articulations help performances sound more expressive and convincing.

Your Own Backing Band

The 550 accompaniment Styles provide professionally arranged backing across an extensive range of musical genres.

Simply play chords with your left hand and the Genos can create a complete accompaniment in real time. Introductions, variations, fills and endings can all be controlled during the performance, making the instrument equally enjoyable for playing at home or entertaining an audience.

Designed for Live Performance

A large colour touchscreen provides quick access to Voices, Styles, registrations and recording functions. Assignable knobs and sliders allow important settings to be adjusted without interrupting a performance.

Complete setups can be stored in Registration Memory, allowing sounds, Styles, effects and other settings to be recalled instantly.

Recording and Connectivity

The Genos can record both MIDI sequences and audio performances, making it suitable for composing, arranging and creating finished recordings.

Its comprehensive connections accommodate microphones, headphones, external amplification, pedals, USB devices and other MIDI equipment.

Please note that the Yamaha Genos does not contain built-in speakers and therefore requires headphones or a suitable external amplification system.

What Our Expert Says

The original Genos remains an enormously capable instrument. Its combination of high quality Yamaha sounds, sophisticated accompaniment Styles and easy touchscreen operation makes it great fun to play, while still offering the depth required by an experienced performer.

This particular example has been very well looked after and represents an excellent way to acquire a flagship Yamaha workstation without the cost of buying the latest model.
